A fixation bandage must meet many requirements. It should provide a reliable, non-shifting fixation of the compress, while not excessively limiting the patient’s freedom of movement. Elastomull is a skin-friendly, stretchy, white fixation bandage with good supportive properties.

Elastomull is a stretchy and skin-friendly fixation bandage made of 42% cotton, 29% viscose, and 29% polyamide. Thanks to its special weaving technique and the use of polyamide, Elastomull is particularly stretchable. With prolonged wear, its elasticity does not diminish. Complicated dressings can thus be applied quickly and easily. Because the special wavy weave structure allows Elastomull to stick well to itself, it is sufficient to have a limited (1/3 overlap per) wrap without renversé techniques. This saves materials and time, resulting in a reliable, crease-free, and non-shifting fixation. Even dressings on moving body parts like joints remain securely in place and do not shift or crumple. For fixations of dressings around fingers and toes, simple circular wraps are adequate. Moreover, thanks to its elastic properties, no venous congestion occurs with normal use, and freedom of movement is hardly restricted. Due to the high cotton and viscose content and the loose weave of the fabric, Elastomull is soft, comfortable, and extremely skin-friendly. The open weave structure ensures that the skin can breathe well, significantly preventing sweating and itching underneath the bandage. Elastomull can be sterilized in an autoclave or using gas.
