Description
A fixation bandage must meet many requirements. It must provide a reliable, non-shifting fixation of the compress, but should not overly restrict the patient’s freedom of movement. Elastomull is a skin-friendly, elastic, white fixation bandage with good supportive properties.

Elastomull is an elastic and skin-friendly fixation bandage made of 42% cotton, 29% viscose, and 29% polyamide. Thanks to the special weaving technique and the use of polyamide, Elastomull is particularly elastic. Its elasticity does not decrease even with prolonged wear. Complicated dressings can therefore be applied quickly and easily. The special wavy weave structure allows Elastomull to stick well to itself, enabling a limited (1/3 overlap per) winding without the need for renversé techniques. This saves material and time, resulting in a reliable, wrinkle-free, and non-shifting fixation. Dressings on moving body parts such as joints remain well in place with Elastomull and do not shift or wrinkle. For fixations of dressings around fingers and toes, simple circular windings are sufficient. Moreover, thanks to its elastic properties, there are no venous congestions under normal use and the freedom of movement is hardly restricted. Due to its high cotton and viscose content and the open weave of the fabric, Elastomull is soft, comfortable, and extremely skin-friendly. The open weave structure allows the skin to breathe well, significantly preventing sweating and itching under the dressing. Elastomull can be sterilized in an autoclave or using gas.
