Description
Properties
Elastomull haft is a highly elastic and skin-friendly white fixation bandage made of 40% cotton, 30% viscose, and 30% polyamide. Because the fixation bandage is impregnated with micro-drops of natural rubber latex, it adheres to itself, but not to the skin or hair. The adhesive properties are enhanced by the special wavy weave structure. Thanks to the unique weaving technique and the use of polyamide, Elastomull haft is particularly stretchy. This allows for quick and easy application even for complicated bandages. As Elastomull haft adheres to itself and does not shift, only a limited (1/3) overlap per winding is sufficient, without the need for renversé techniques, saving both material and time. Furthermore, bandages on moving body parts like joints stay in place well and do not crumple. Additionally, thanks to its elastic properties, no venous stasis occurs during normal use, and freedom of movement is hardly restricted. Even after prolonged use, elasticity does not decrease. To prevent venous stasis, Elastomull haft is preferably not applied under tension. Therefore, it is easier to unroll Elastomull haft per winding before securing the bandage. Thanks to the high cotton and viscose content and the loose weave of the fabric, Elastomull haft is very soft, comfortable, and skin-friendly. The open weave structure also ensures that the skin can breathe well. Elastomull haft can be sterilized in an autoclave or using gas.
