Description
A fixation bandage must meet many requirements. It should provide reliable fixation that does not shift, but it must not restrict the patient’s freedom of movement. Gazofix offers more. It is a skin-colored, self-adhesive elastic fixation bandage that is easy to apply and has good supporting properties.
Properties
The material of Gazofix consists of cotton and polyamide. Due to impregnated microdrops of natural latex, the bandage adheres to itself but not to the skin or hair. Gazofix is also elastic, allowing larger and more complex bandages to be applied quickly and easily.
The polyamide fibers do not lose their elasticity even after prolonged use, which allows Gazofix to be used for long-lasting fixation without wrinkling. Because of its self-adhesive nature, the turns need to be applied with only one-third overlap, which can save a lot of material. Gazofix can be sterilized in an autoclave or using gas. Gazofix is individually packaged in cellophane.
