Description
The SAM XT tourniquet (blue) is the latest tourniquet, specially developed for quick and reliable occlusion of the extremities. This tourniquet requires fewer rotations with the windlass. When tightening, there is an audible “click” confirmation that indicates the strap has been tightened sufficiently. It is often the case that there is too much slack in the strap.
The special SAM XT “Truforce” buckle automatically locks the tourniquet at a predetermined amount of force, eliminating all slack in the tourniquet. By “clicking” the tourniquet, tightening it, and locking it, a very effective tourniquet is achieved.
The automatic buckle makes the tourniquet very simple and quick to use for self-application. Self-application is particularly important for tactical units of police and defense.
