The Evac+Chair is the essential tool for transporting individuals down stairs in situations where lifts cannot be used or are prohibited. The presence of these Evac+Chairs ensures optimal safety. The increase in the number of individuals with obesity has resulted in a new product line from Evac+Chair.
This is the Evac+Chair that has the capacity to transport a person weighing up to 227 kg. The chair is equipped with a footrest that also serves as a carrying handle. These handles can be used when the individual is too heavy to be transported down by one person.

The Evac+Chair 500H was successfully tested at the Catharina Hospital in Eindhoven. This is a hospital with 696 beds located in the center of Eindhoven and has multiple buildings, including a main block of 15 floors. Mr. W.P.J. Roordink, the Health and Safety Coordinator of the hospital, needed 6 evacuation chairs to safely transport patients and/or visitors weighing up to 227 kg down the stairs in case of an evacuation during an emergency. During the tests, there was a staircase with a steepness of 45 degrees, which is 5 degrees steeper than the maximum limit of our standard model, the Evac+Chair 300H. Mr. Roordink was very pleased with the results and placed an order for 6 units. He stated: “We have many obese patients within our hospital, and we need to be as well-prepared as possible for any situation.
