Description
CO2 fire extinguishers are suitable for extinguishing liquid fires (fire class B) and fires in electrically charged equipment. The greatest advantage of a carbon dioxide snow extinguisher is that the extinguishing agent (CO2) leaves no residue upon use. The CO2 gas suffocates the fire and then dissolves in the surrounding air. Therefore, it causes no damage to sensitive equipment and materials. CO2 is particularly used in high-quality electronic equipment where water-based extinguishing agents, such as foam, cannot be used.
