Requirements for first aid kits for companies
- The first aid kit must be within easy reach; it should be able to be grabbed within half a minute.
- It must also be equipped with a holder that allows it to be clearly visible when mounted on the wall. Additionally, it should be easy to open.
- The Oranje Kruis recommends checking the first aid kit every six months. This includes verifying the contents and the expiration dates of the sterile products.
- The described contents are, by the way, a minimum package; the box should have enough space to be extended based on specific risks or experiences depending on the company situation.
- The first aid kit must contain clear instructions for use, as well as a guide on First Aid Procedures, where you can read how to act in various accidents.
- A company is responsible for the content of the first aid kit; maintenance (checking expiration and replenishment) can be outsourced. This can also be managed by us. For more information, see our Maintenance page for first aid kits.
