Description
Leukostrip wound closure strips are made of 100% polyamide with a hypoallergenic adhesive layer, enabling nearly painless wound closure. The material is elastic and stretches along with any swelling that may occur. Once the swelling subsides, Leukostrip returns to its original shape.
By replacing sutures on the third postoperative day with a wound closure using Leukostrip, scar formation at the site of the incision can be minimized, thereby preventing an unsightly zipper effect as much as possible. Leukostrip can also be combined with subcutaneous or intracutaneous sutures or used as a supplement to staples.
