Description
Leukostrip wound closure strips are made from 100% polyamide with a hypoallergenic adhesive layer, allowing for a nearly painless wound closure. The material is elastic and stretches to accommodate any swelling. After the swelling has subsided, Leukostrip returns to its original shape.
By replacing sutures with a wound closure using Leukostrip on the third postoperative day, scar formation at the site of the incision is minimized, helping to prevent an unsightly zipper effect as much as possible. Leukostrip can also be combined with subcutaneous or intradermal sutures or used as a supplement with staples.
