Description
Leukostrip wound closure strips are made from 100% polyamide and feature a hypoallergenic adhesive layer that allows for virtually painless wound closure. The material is elastic and stretches with any swelling that may occur. Once the swelling subsides, Leukostrip returns to its original shape.
By replacing stitches on the third postoperative day with a wound closure using Leukostrip, scar formation at the site of the incision is minimized, helping to avoid an unsightly zipper-like effect. Leukostrip can also be combined with subcutaneous or intracutaneous stitches or used as an adjunct with staples.
Applications
