Description
Leukostrip wound closure strips are made from 100% polyamide and equipped with a hypoallergenic adhesive layer that allows for a virtually painless wound closure. The material is elastic and stretches with any swelling that may occur. Once the swelling subsides, Leukostrip returns to its original shape.
By replacing sutures on the third postoperative day with a wound closure using Leukostrip, scar formation at the site of the incision can be minimized, thereby preventing any unsightly zippering effect. Leukostrip can also be combined with subcutaneous or intradermal sutures or used as a supplement to staples.
