The tweezers made of stainless steel.
Lyme disease can cause conditions affecting the skin, glands, heart, joints, and the nervous system. Research has shown that Lyme disease is caused by a tick bite. Experts have determined that the bacteria can enter the bloodstream between 2 and 4 hours after the tick attaches itself. Therefore, the tick must always be removed as quickly as possible. A preventative medication is not available; however, if the disease is detected early, an antibiotic course can lead to recovery in some cases.
It is a misconception that ticks can be removed with a little alcohol, oil, butter, or a greasy ointment. Using regular tweezers is also highly discouraged. Ticks must be removed entirely. The most suitable instrument for tick removal is the tick tweezers.
Slide the tick tweezers laterally over the entire tick into the V-notch, so that it gets clamped. Now turn the tweezers 2 to 3 times counterclockwise and pull the tick out. Disinfect the bite wound with a disinfectant solution after removing the tick.
