Description
Lyme disease can cause conditions affecting the skin, glands, heart, joints, and the nervous system. Research has shown that Lyme disease is caused by a tick bite. Experts have established that between 2 and 4 hours after the tick has attached itself, the bacteria can enter the bloodstream. Therefore, the tick must always be removed as quickly as possible. A preventive medication is not available, but early detection of the disease can lead to a cure in some cases with an antibiotic course.
It is a outdated belief that ticks can be removed with a little alcohol, oil, butter, or a greasy ointment. The use of a regular tweezers is also highly discouraged. Ticks must be removed entirely. The most suitable tool for removing ticks is the tick tweezers.
Instructions for Use
- Open the tweezers and place the tip over the tick
- Release the button
- Rotate the tweezers a quarter turn to the left and gently pull the tick out in the twisting motion
