Description
The Physio-Control Lifepak CR2 defibrillator is very easy to use, with its clear images and audible instructions for rescuers, both trained and untrained. It features a metronome that indicates an effective rate for chest compressions and includes CPR coaching. The AED instructs the rescuer on what to do. Additionally, the AED is equipped with ClearVoice technology and detects background noise, automatically adjusting the volume for clearly audible instructions.
The QUIK-STEP electrodes can be immediately removed from the holder for quick placement on the victim’s chest. This prevents valuable time from being wasted unpacking the electrodes and significantly increases the victim’s chance of survival.
The unique feature of this Lifepak CR2 WiFi AED is that it analyzes the heart rhythm during chest compressions with CPR insight. The essential resuscitation of the victim does not need to be interrupted. The time between when the CR2 detects that a shock needs to be delivered and the actual shock is reduced to just 7 seconds. In an emergency where every second counts, this is a significant advantage. When the CR2 detects a shockable heart rhythm, the AED delivers effective shocks with increasing energy up to 360 J if necessary.
By pressing the pediatric button, the Lifepak AED easily switches to child mode. The shock energy is then adjusted for children up to 8 years old and/or weighing less than 25 kg, and the AED adapts the assistance for child resuscitation. The major benefit of this is that the rescuer does not lose time looking for and connecting the pediatric electrodes to the AED. Additionally, there is no need to purchase or periodically replace separate pediatric electrodes, which also saves costs.
LIFELINKcentral and AED program management monitor the AED programs by tracking AED status, sending patient data to ambulance personnel and hospitals, locating AEDs, and other resources.
