Properties
Optiplaste-C is a skin-colored, 100% cotton bandage, with a maximum stretch of 6% in length. Thanks to the woven chain threads, Optiplaste-C offers durable and strong support and compression, linking low resting pressure to high working pressure. Optiplaste-C is easily moldable and does not shift. The conventional zinc oxide-rubber adhesive layer guarantees immediate and reliable adhesion. Optiplaste-C is easy to unwind and is water-resistant.
Since Optiplaste-C does not contain radiation-absorbing components, the bandage does not need to be removed during radiological examinations or radiation therapies. Furthermore, Optiplaste-C can be sterilized.
Applications
- As a durable compression bandage
- As a support and relieving bandage for muscles, tendons, and joints
- For functional taping to treat and prevent injuries to muscles, tendons, and joints.
- As a functional immobilization bandage, for example, after a collarbone fracture or after the removal of a plaster cast.
- As a corrective bandage for correcting postures or body positions.
Optiplast-C has a thicker adhesive layer and is more breathable than Optiplast-E. This makes this bandage more skin-friendly and suitable as a dressing. Both types of Optiplaste are water-resistant.
