Description
Disinfection of cuts, abrasions, and burns, as well as the skin for injections and blood transfusions. Pre- and post-operative disinfection of the surgical area. Directly from the bottle or applied using a cotton ball, tampon, or moist compress.
Deeper abrasions or cuts can be cleaned by first rinsing with Betadine Solution. Then, it is best to cover the wound with Betadine Ointment Gauze or Betadine Plasters to protect against outside contamination. Not to be used on large skin surfaces in cases of excessive thyroid activity.
