Description
Optiplaste-E is a particularly well-finished, adhesive short-stretch bandage with exceptional material properties. Optiplaste-E combines excellent functional characteristics with skin-friendly qualities.
Properties
Optiplaste-E is a lengthwise elastic bandage that consists entirely of natural fibers (85% cotton and 15% viscose). The maximum stretch of the material is 60% (a so-called short stretch). Thanks to the woven chain threads, Optiplaste-E provides durable and powerful support and compression, pairing low resting pressure with high working pressure. With Optiplaste-E, the degree of support or relief can also be accurately dosed. The material molds very well to individual body contours. Due to its strong adhesive power and long-lasting elasticity, the bandage does not shift, even after extended use. The conventional zinc oxide rubber adhesive layer is applied in micro-perforated strips. Thanks to the air zones between the strips, the material is breathable. This makes Optiplaste-E skin-friendly and comfortable. Optiplaste-E is easy to unwind and water-repellent. The bandage has a shelf life of 5 years. Because Optiplaste-E contains no radiation-absorbing components, the bandage does not need to be removed for radiological examinations or radiation therapies. Additionally, Optiplaste-E can be sterilized.
Applications
- As a durable compression bandage for support and unloading
- For caps, muscles, and joints
- As a skin-protective underlayer for tape
- As a corrective bandage for posture correction
-
As immobilization after, for example, ankle sprains, clavicle dislocations, and after
the removal of plaster casts. -
As sports tape for the treatment and preventive taping of joints,
ligaments, and muscles.

bandage than Optiplaste-C. Both types of Optiplaste are water-repellent.
